Holiday Troop PackagesNovember 2, 2016 - 8:24 pmMany of you know that our son and Kersten’s brother, Robert Borger, is 1st Lieutenant aviator and pilot in the Army National Guard currently deployed in the Middle East. His battalion (over 300 members) is an aviation unit out of Jacksonville, Fl. and provides support and transport of troops and supplies. The troops left in July and will be returning home in April. While deployed they typically work 12 hours on and 12 hours off. They do have access to a gym and a PX (Robert said it is not very good) but that is about it. There is nothing like receiving a package in the mail. I think we can all remember receiving an unexpected package and the excitement of what may be in there.
